The founding fathers of this organization included:

Treasurer: Rubin Tenorio D.O.

Who came together in 2005 and along with Dr. Robin Goodfellow and Dr. George Palmer have worked tirelessly for safety in the sport of boxing.  They have given of their own time and expertise along with gathering other reknown experts in their respective medical fields to help create a high standard in ringside care.  Along with producing the first edition of the Physician Manual for Ringside Medicine they created a basic and advanced symposia for education and certification of physicians in ringside care; a mini-fellowship, if you will call it that.  Now this process is being formalized with the advancement of the American College of Ringside Physicians in parallel to a similar effort internationally by AIBA to also standardize ringside care.  In addition, more expertise has been gained in this field which has lead to additional questions and research coinciding with the original intent of using evidence based improvements.
